where Tradition meets Modern-Day
How about some history to go with that organic smoothie? The new James Farmacy in Old Saybrook will be keeping up the fine tradition of good health and healing as once provided by its original owner, Anna Louise James, the first African American woman to graduate from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy as well as the first female African American pharmacist in Connecticut. The new James Farmacy will continue the tradition of its namesake, by featuring organic vintage sodas and remedies, healing tonics and elixirs, and nutrient-dense juices and smoothies, all with super healing foods and herbs from nature’s own pharmacy!
James Farmacy is open
7 days a week 10am-10pm.
The cafe is conveniently located one mile from Old Saybrook Inn and Saybrook Pointe, within walking distance of the Old Saybrook Library and The Kate. The café serves Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free and Meat-eater options throughout the day. Its menu features only organically sourced products that are local whenever possible. Menu items are made from super-foods and super-herbs grown from Nature’s own “farmacy,” and nutrient dense foods packed with phytonutrients, enzymes and fiber.
